Scholarships

The Library of Virginia believes strongly in the continuing education of library staff.  As such, it funds several scholarships to professional development events that take place around the country.  The funds are to assist library staff in attending an event they otherwise may not be able to.  As part of being awarded a scholarship, recipients are expected to take part in a “teach-back” opportunity that occurs after they’ve attended their event.  This allows them to share with the wider Virginia library world the knowledge gained in attending.
